We love the Quad Cities. Since 1961 it has been our home. Even though over 50 years have elapsed from the time we first broke ground for our Milan facility, we have remained a locally owned and operated bank, committed to the growth and well being of this area and the people who make it so special.
On January 1, 2008, Blackhawk State Bank officially changed our name to Blackhawk Bank & Trust to reflect the addition of our Trust Department, which we established in the Fall of 2007. Only the name has changed. Our bank has been a local success story. From our roots in Milan, IL we have expanded into Rock Island, Coal Valley, Moline, East Moline, Silvis, Colona, and Geneseo,IL; Davenport, LeClaire and Princeton, IA and most recently into the communities of Aledo and Edgington, Illinois. From those locations we serve the residents of Rock Island, Henry and Mercer Counties in Illinois and Scott County in Iowa. Each time we have poured the footings for a new facility into the earth of another community, we have renewed the pledge we made back in 1961:
To remain a locally owned bank.
Our Mission Statement:
At Blackhawk Bank & Trust, we are very cognizant of both our ethical and financial commitment to our customers, employees and shareholders. Therefore, we adhere to a simple mission statement which forms the basis of our business plan:
"To Serve the needs of our customers, employees and shareholders while maintaining local ownership."
We Are Safe, Solid And Secure.
