The Travel EMV® card is a reloadable pre-paid card funded with US Currency. This card reduces card acceptance issues while traveling outside the US where chip technology is quickly replacing the traditional magnetic stripe.

What is a Visa® Travel Card?

A Visa® travel card is a reloadable, prepaid card that can be used to make purchases where Visa is accepted and obtain local currency at millions of ATMs*. This card is secure with chip technology. Minimum load is $100; maximum load is $5,000. Reloads are available online at YCNCard.com. If you’d prefer an immediate reload of your Visa travel card, additional funds can be added to the cards at any Blackhawk Bank & Trust location for $2 per reload.

Where can I purchase a Visa travel card?

You can purchase a Visa travel card at any Blackhawk Bank & Trust location. At the time of purchase you will be asked to provide a valid ID and SSN.

Where can I use my Visa travel card?

It can be used everywhere Visa is accepted! You can make purchases up to the value that is on the card. The card is welcome at millions of locations worldwide, including retail stores and online.

How do I activate my Visa travel card?

You may verify activation or view your account information by calling customer service at (855) 887-1835 or by going online to YCNCard.com. Cardholders must call the toll-free customer service number to activate their card. At the time of the call, you will be provided your PIN. For activating a travel card, the cardholder will need the card number and the CVV number.

How do I check the balance on my Visa travel card?

You will be responsible for keeping track of your account balance. It’s important to know your available balance before making any transactions. Merchants generally will not be able to determine your available balance. You may obtain your available balance without charge, by accessing your card account online at YCNCard.com or by calling (855) 877-1835. Statements in electronic format are available free of charge at YCNCard.com during each month in which a transaction occurs. You may also receive text alerts*.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

If you believe your card has been lost or stolen, or that someone has transferred or may transfer money from your account without your permission, call (855) 887-1835. Your card, and money on it, are replaceable if lost or stolen. There will be a $10 replacement fee. See cardholder agreement for details.

When does my card expire?

Your Visa travel card has an expiration date similar to a credit card. You are allowed to reload and reuse the card as long as it is not passed the expiration date embossed on the card.

Are there any fees associated with my Visa travel card?

The Visa travel card purchase fee is $9.95. There is a monthly inactivity fee of $4.95 after three (3) consecutive months of inactivity.
