JOHN PETERS, AIF®

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCIAL ADVISOR

John has been part of the Blackhawk Bank & Trust team since 2013. An Alleman High School alum, he went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at Augustana College and later his MBA from St. Ambrose University. With over a decade of experience in institutional investments, John plays an important role in managing the Bank’s holding company securities. He holds his Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations, Life and Health Insurance licenses, and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Beyond the office, John has served as a Police and Fire Pension Trustee, sits on the Milan Chamber of Commerce board and the Peoria Diocese Finance Council, volunteers with youth baseball and Augustana College’s business incubator, and is a member of the Rock Island Kiwanis.

CARRIE CROSSEN

VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCIAL ADVISOR

Beginning her career as a Financial Advisor in 2000, Vice President & Financial Advisor Carrie Crossen joined Blackhawk Bank & Trust in 2005. With several years of industry experience, Carrie brought her expertise to help launch the Financial Services Department. An alumna of Western Illinois University, she holds Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations, Life & Health Insurance licenses, and she received the American Bankers Associations’ advanced degree of Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA). Outside of the office, Carrie has served as treasurer and is an active member of the Rock Island Rotary Club, a board member and finance committee member of the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, and a previous board member for Christian Care. She lives in rural Davenport with her husband and all their pets. Her hobbies include fitness, gardening and animal rescue efforts.

NICOLE DAVID, CFP®

ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCIAL ADVISOR

Nicole is a trusted financial advisor who has made significant contributions to Blackhawk Bank & Trust since joining in 2016. An alumna of Western Illinois University, Nicole holds her SIE, Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and Life & Health Insurance licenses. She attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2023 after meeting the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, including successfully completing financial planning coursework at an accredited college or university and passing the 6-hour comprehensive CFP® certification exam. In the community, Nicole served as president and is a member of the Bettendorf Kiwanis Club, serves as board chair for the Bettendorf YMCA advisory board, enjoys volunteering with Junior Achievement of the Heartland, and is involved in East Moline Little League and many other great organizations. When she is not caring for her two young sons, Nicole enjoys staying active with recreational sports and time with family and friends. Nicole maintains offices located at our Bettendorf branch and in Milan’s Parkway location.

Blake Hasson

JUNIOR BROKER TRAINEE

Blake has been building expertise in client relations and financial services at Blackhawk Bank & Trust since joining the team in 2024. He currently holds his Series 7 license and is pursuing his Series 66 as part of his path to becoming a financial advisor. A graduate of AlWood High School and Iowa State University, Blake earned bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems in 2024. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and caring for his cat. Passionate about client success, Blake is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and helping clients reach their financial goals.
